OUR LEATHER - FULL GRAIN & PREMIUM GRAIN
Full grain & premium top grain leather comes from the top layer of the hide, which allows the leather to breathe without absorbing moisture. With this high grade of leather, the tanning process is most important. The tanning process makes it “decay resistant” and imparts qualities of strength, flexibility and overall appearance.
If tanned incorrectly, leather will feel and tear like cardboard. Many tanneries only tumble their leather for 2 hours however all of our BUILDPRO extreme work gear leather is tumbled for up to 20 hours and only the best hypoallergenic detergents, oils and waxes are added during the colour process and then on the exterior leather. Our leather is also fully tanned and dyed all the way through allowing the leather to breathe, but not absorb, which is why our leather is all weather rated. The process also helps to resist cracking, tearing and punctures.
